Navy Dining Room

This bold dining room was designed to have an impact as folks enter the home.

We created an eclectic vibe by mixing light-toned furniture passed down a few generations with some new dark-toned pieces, adding upholstered chairs with timeless nailhead details, and then incorporating lots of patterns from the drapes to the table cloth to the gentle stripes in the area rug.

We wanted to accentuate the tray ceiling but didn't want to draw attention to the fact that the chandelier is not in the center (because it's properly centered on the table, off to one side). The solution was this organic, multi-toned mural wallpaper with a repeat that's difficult to find. It intentionally draws your eye up, and adds a bold backdrop for the gorgeous chandelier.

The room features art from near and far including an original landscape by Ukrainian artist, Karina Mirzoeva, and a framed poem written by a family member.

We needed seating for large family gatherings and adore the scrolled legs on this extendable dining table. Candles custom-made to match the napkins bring in one more unique pattern for a joyful place to gather for meals.
